Leonardo Martinelli is a filmmaker based in Rio de Janeiro. His film Fantasma Neon won the Golden Leopard for Best International Short Film at the Locarno Film Festival, and his work has screened at major festivals worldwide, including Cannes, Toronto, San Sebastián, BFI London, and Clermont-Ferrand. Holding a Master’s degree in Communication from PUC-Rio, he is currently developing his debut feature film with the support of the Locarno Residency and the Hubert Bals Fund.
