Reinterpreting the myth of Don Quixote today through the poetics of Teatro dei Venti means rediscovering the power of collective action and the value of ethical resistance. The performance transforms urban space into a laboratory of wonder, where traditional street theatre elements—stilts, theatrical machinery, and live music—merge with the innovation of poetic language. What unfolds across streets and squares is a dreamlike journey that invites us not to resign ourselves to injustice or become accustomed to evil, celebrating fragility as the engine of a new awareness.
Quixote’s struggle, echoed in Sancho’s loyalty, thus becomes an impulse to return to the roots of our most authentic desires. In a tight dialogue between past and future, Teatro dei Venti stages a choral work that urges the audience to take responsibility for the present, transforming wonder into a tool for change and sight into a vision capable of generating hope.
