Talk and interview with Matia Frignani, April 29 at 9 am Cinema Boiardo
n Scandiano, Ennesimo Film Festival’s commitment to visual education spans every school level, from preschool to high school. Through targeted programs, we have worked with numerous classes to provide the essential tools to read and understand today’s visual landscape.
The major highlight this year is the project “Cinema is Better! — The Movie Theater as the Heart of the City,” involving first-year students at Boiardo middle schools. In an era of individual viewing, students have rediscovered cinema as a collective experience and social ritual, exploring the behind-the-scenes world of Cinema Teatro Boiardo in collaboration with Fondazione ATER. Moving beyond passive consumption, they became “ambassadors of the big screen,” creating a communication campaign to invite the community to rediscover the magic of the silver screen.
On April 29th, before diving into the films of the Youth Selection, the older middle school classes will have the opportunity to meet Matia Frignani, a screenwriter from Scandiano born in 1997. Having trained at Palomar, Bottega Finzioni, and Rome’s Anica Academy, his credits include the comedy 100 Di Questi Anni (Istituto Luce), the documentary Sbrigàte directed by Claudia Gerini, and 80 Minuti for Rai Documentari. His presence offers students a direct testament to how local talent can evolve into a national career, revealing the inner workings of writing for both film and television.
