Visioni Sarde 2024 (Visions from Sardinia)

Out of Competition – MAY 1 at 5 pm at BLA

A glimpse of emerging cinema in Sardinia

In the panorama of Visioni Italiane, founded in 1994 by the Bologna Film Library (lit. ‘Cineteca’) to provide space for young authors in Italy, the section Visioni Sarde represents an important perspective on the fascinating Italian island and its emerging film scene. Since 2016, Ennesimo Film Festival, in collaboration with Circolo Nuraghe, has been creating a bridge between Sardinia and its cinema. Indeed, short films by Sardinian authors find a stage here, where they can meet an audience that shares roots and affection for the island. It’s an opportunity to reflect on Sardinia’s identity and future through the universal language of cinema. Moreover, the Festival wants to give space to young authors and, at the same time, promote the richness and complexity of Italian cinema.
